Anyone Play Mario Kart?

I just wanted to say it's the best video game series of all-time (mostly for multi-player fun).

I started playing in college when it was on Super Nintendo (old school). Then the N64 version carried me through 5 years of college. Now I have GameCube, and Double Dash is a great new edition.

this game is possibly one of the BEST games ever. I mean, the SNES version is fun and stuff, but the N64 version just RULES. We spent countless hours playing that in college just futzin around and stuff...

Exactly. I thought it could not get better. Then I caved in and bought GameCube just for the new Kart. Honestly, it's the only game I own for that system. I bought the GameCube off Ebay, and then the game. Got the whole deal, and 2 extra controllers, all for about $120 (game included). Well worth it. The newer Kart is miles ahead of the old ones, but it retains that old school feel. Only it's more Karts, more characters, and better "gifts".

And you can play it online. But I haven't dug into that yet.

Damn, I should be a salesman for Mario Kart.

I hate the fat guys. I'm all about lean dudes that can cut corners tight.

I played the N64 version. The best part was the cheat on the Warrio Stadium. You know, where you just hop over the banking on the left just after the start line! Oh man that was fun.

Yes, I know. We banned that since that feature ruined that track. Actually, the worst shortcut for N64 was on the ice track. You simply cross the line at the right angle, and then back up to cross the line again. Within about 20 seconds, the race is over.

Hate the shortcuts, unless they take major skill (like the beach jump, with no shroom). The new GameCube verision did a great job of eliminating those glitches.

Oh man I forgot about the ice track one. That was insane.

The beach jump was a PITA esp if you fall short!

Yay !! Nintendo fan here. Mario Kart IS one of the best series ever ! All of them are so fun. DD one is nice but lack short cuts like the old school ones ! Did u beat it yet? Blue flames baby ~~ Boost ~

Yes, I did beat it recently. Took me awhile to do it, much harder than the other ones. You have to beat it on Mirror mode, on All Cup Tour, which is all 16 races, back to back. A pretty big pain, but worth it.

Blue flames is where it's at.

There are lots of shortcuts, but many after very hard to get.

we used to play mariokart in college after dinner like everyday on super nintendo... eventually we moved up to n64 after we graduated... but old school was def. better.

Not a chance. I've yet to encounter another driver that can beat me.

It's funny, because my buddies from home always would brag that they played at school, and how great they were. They were amateurs, it's no contest. I always get screwed though, since I'm in 1st place throughout the race, they hook up the other guy with all the good boxes of gifts. I like racing all motor - where no one can use the weapons, just straight drivin'.
