    Need a new owner's manual for my 04 S4!!

Mine has been severely damaged and I would like to replace it. Is this something covered under warranty? Can I contact Audi to see if they have any old ones laying around? Or do I need to start searching Ebay?

    Thanks and take care!!!

Keep an eye out on eBay. I have seen them available in the past month. Note: there are different versions for Sedan, Avant & Cabriolet.

Alternatively, your dealer should be able to order it for you, but it will cost you more.

Another option is one of the online Audi parts dealers:

    Good Luck

price at dealer should be about 70$ for a manual, when i worked at Audi we had to order one and it was in the price range.

$70 for an owners manual! No wonder they're called stealerships!

The manuals do go for sale on ebay from time to time.

There is also a website that VAG has where you can order manuals for Audis as well as for RNS-E etc. IIRC the manuals are in the $10-$15 range. I'll see if I can find it and repost the website address.

OK Here is the site for Audi Service Publications. iT IS www.audi.ddsltd.com

I've purchased extra Owner's Manuals from them, the quick reference card for the A4 and RNS-E and also RNS-E manuals. You will be amazed at all the publications they have.

They are out of stock for the '04 S4, cost is $10. Order number is WSA2425618SL21. The '05 is in stock for both Sedan and Avant. They are very good about shipping back order tiems when the are back in stock.

Oh of course they’ll replace it. It’s well known that some of the earlier manuals were manufactured with a line of inferior paper that’s been know to spontaneously disintegrate, especially when opened (did you open it?). If this happens while you’re reading and driving….boy, could be bad. Search the forums, if I recall correctly, there’s a TSB on it. I wouldn’t wait though, I’d rush in to the dealership with the manual in hand and demand a replacement immediately. Print out this thread if you think you need the extra collaboration. And see if they've still got the carbon fiber cover edition. Let us know how it go’s.
