Need help with front bumper removal

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I have taken every single bolt that i see on my front bumper but it still doesn't come off. I know the rebar is connected to it. Is there any way to take the front bumper off without hackin the bumper to pieces???

is the bumper clipped onto anything by any chance. Because When I looked inside the bumper was connected to the re-bar and I was wonder if I had to unclip something of that sort. So yeah.....

nope you should unscrew that long ass bolt (2) and yank them out and it should just slide out...perhaps you need to remove the headlights it might be obstructing things

long ass bolt? where is this long ass bolt located .. i never came up on those bolts. I got everything else and yes i did take off my headlights as well ... that's probably the only thing i'm probably missing.

And i saw those clips that run along the top bumper area. I tried to pry it off but it just wouldn't unclip???

ok another question .. Rear bumper this time. I really don't know where to start. Most likely, like on MKIV VW, there is at least 1 bolt under each tail lamp. Problem is I can't even take off the tail lamps. Any suggestions on where to start???

i tried that but those stupid tails wouldn't come off ... so the tails are only held down by that 1 bolt on each side???

yes and there's basically a ball socket that the tail light assembly fits into you have to be forceful but not too crazy or you'll break off the ball...i have a pic of the tail light removal for the avant similar to the sedan lemme find it.

you'll see the ball and the top portion of the pic attached to the tailight...the way it comes out is a pull outwards (away from the car) and pulling action...
