    E05 and other goodies installed.

well took a trip yesterday from foggy san francisco to sunny l.a.
to have the E05 turbo, Eurocode FMIC, DV valve, and tes pipe.
i have pics but because i was to exited to test the car out after the install i forgot my camera at davids shop.
anyways on to the install. the install went smooth. the first item david put on was the FMIC and let me tell you fits perfectly into the ultrasport bumper. david needed to trim a little but nothing even close to any cutting. fits right in. so while he instaled that the car cooled down and then the turbo went in. everything fit like a charm no hassles. after that the DV valve and then test pipe. and off course the REVO software. while david was doing the install he was explaining what was happening and what is going to happen to my car, power, realiability etc. which i found super useful. as a customer i got a first hand lesson from the man himself. david is super honest and no BS guy. his honest about all the products he sales he doesn't tell you what you want to hear, he tells you the steps you should take inorder for your car to perform that way. and in my case it was the E05 turbo, FMIC, testpipe, and the REVO software. this everybody is the winnig combination evrybody.
my car pulls like no other, alot of torque, speed nothing i ever expected. my cars simply faster than it was, so much faster. i had the GAIC software on my car. it was o.k but nothing like this. david did and excellent job. thanks again david for everthing your the man chief.
thanks also to derrick (villians) for hooking this whole deal up. for those about to get the kit, you guys will be happy no doubt. and for those wondering, jump on the E05 GB its well worth it. just to let everyone know that i only had 3500 miles on my car when i had the E05 installed. this is also my second software upgrade.
this kit is pretty much hassle free. why wait is what i say. i'm a happy customer and very satisfied with david and eurocode.

    Gerard,

Congratulations! I am so glad that you are happy with the kit. David really is one of the most honest tuners I have ever dealt with. He tells it like it is and never tries to make it sound better then it is. I am sure you are going to continue to enjoy the kit, I know I have.

The only concner I would have is the software. For that and to put in teh injectors, you'd have to go to a REvo tuner.

    Rich,

The injectors are the easiest part of the install, not a problem at all. As for the software, you don't have to go to a REVO dealer but you would have to ship your ECU. If you over night it, I will overnight it back so you would only be down two days.

By the way, I convinced David to come up to the Bay area for a weekend and do some installs and ECU flashes we just need to settle a date with you guys up north.

Thanks Derrick for the info and talking to David for us. I thought that Revo software was "uploaded" through the port? I guess it can be done directly onto the chip too?

The other question I have is say I sell my car, can Revo put it back to the stock program.. code for code? I know that the "stock" program that the 6 hr trial reverts to is not truly stock, but I was wondering if I took the car to a REVO dealer, could they revert directly back to a stock program?

Finally, I hope that by the time he comes up, I'd have made up my mind on which way to go (Revo vs Dahlback vs MTM vs Neuspeed). We'll see.

hey G_A4, does the turbo spool up as quickly as with the K03? lag is worse, better, about even? I wanna get this but I wonder how it'll effect me on the autocross course where I am in 1st and 2nd the whole time.

    what up van,
the spool up is alot more than the K03. the lag isn't bad because of how the E05's designed. it's similar to the K03. torque of the E05 is awesome. the kit shoudn't affect your autocross.

    Hey Gerard,

After spending this money and all the positive feedback, would you be confident in saying that you car would be a good rival to an 01-up M3? I'm not asking you to race one, just butt-dyno feel in your opinion...is the power & potential there?

One reason why I didn't get the 3.0 V6 was that I knew the 1.8T would have much more potential in terms of power. I had no idea Revo & Ecode would change the market so fast.

I've got 2000 miles on my car right now and I'm definitely looking to go down the path that you have gone. Do you think the clutch will be an issue? My cluth releases really high.

Lastly, do you have a dyno session scheduled? I'm really eager to know how much power you have gained since I have a USP as well.

Having only 3000 miles on your car before the upgrade, you have a 2004 A4 right?

Thanks in advance for answering all the questions! Props on your Re-newed new car.

    A4- oh snap
the power and torque increased by loads more torque, which i like. a friend of mine has a m coupe. it has the old 01 M3 engine 240hp i believe. and i'm meeting up with him this week. so i'll see about his m coupe. i'll take him, no problem . thats how i feel about my car and the mods i have. i know my car won't be able take on the newer M3. the turbo isn't that powerful to put out that kind of power.
the clutch is still good, remeber our cars are new and the clutch can take it. it will go though but not right away. not saying you shouldn't change your clutch. after market clutches are awesome and i'm probably goona get one later down the road.
if you go with the E05 kit you sould think about a brake kit. more over than the clutch. trust me, all you'll want to do is mash the pedal and with the power your cars going to make you'll want more stopping power.
i'll schedule a dyno day for my car. i'll have to look for an all wheel dyno somewhere around S.F. if you want to see dyno results for the E05 villians has them posted, on two different dynos even. i believe his last dyno his car with the E05 put out 216 whp. really impressive stuff. do a search for E05 dyno.
    i do have the USP.
my car is 2004 and this is my second software upgrade and the turbo kit off course. no regrets. just enjoying my fast car

Yes it is and E05 isn't much bigger but in comparing blade profiles--very different!

Actually what's really shocking was the difference in size of SMIC vs FMIC.

I talked to David for you but he said you need to get the ECU code from your car so we can see if he has the programing for you. He told me that the Mexican cars sometimes have different ECUs and need different programing. If you don't know how to find your ECU code let me know.
