    Hey!!! That's my car!!!

We have manual levelling control on all A4 without Xenon. Now with Valeo ecodes, I bought new Valeo levelling motors and with wiring help from Alexaris, got them working again with ecodes and hid kit.

I can get part numbers for the levelling switch but you can also ask vagparts. I'm sure they can help ya.

My gauges are stock from my '97 A4 TDI.

Here's a newer pic with cluster rings and piano black trim

Try epimporters, I think they can help you with the switches and motors, They got for me the motors.

    Good luck with the project

    Great work Nuno

It controls the height of the headlights from inside the car, that's whats special about it. I thought that was obvious though....

The main reason everyone is so gung ho for a headlamp leveling switch is so they can raise the cut-off much higher on dark roads and see more of the road.

I hate using my high beams, they're so budget looking compared to HID lighting.

It would be pretty nice to be able to roll a knob to raise my cut-off points a few degrees higher. I guess I'd need to have Valeo headlamps though.....

Also the fact that you lucky euro's have them and we don't. You guys get all the cool stuff on cars, it all gets stripped when it crosses the atlantic.

ECS is selling a switch for the Golf IV

is called European Leveling Wiring Kit

If you want that feature, you could buy that one and run the wires to the Headlights and place the leveling in the position you want, not necesarily on the dash

Well yes. You could unplug the switch on the dash and see which terminals lead to what on the motors.... And while you were in there you could jot down the part number too.... Well, you know, if you wanted too......

    Re: Manual headlight level switch....

I know this thread is a gazillion years old, but does anyone have any info on how to wire these up? I've got the switches and the motors mounted in my ecodes, but I'm not sure exactly how to wire them up. Anyone successful with this?

That actually helps a lot! None of those are for a B5, but I could probably rig something up if I can't find something B5 specific.

Nice! Thanks for the heads up. I just sort of assumed this was such an obscure thing to want that ECS wouldn't have it.
