Unhappy So I decided to get my front license plate put in ...

My car doesn't have a front license plate on right now, and doesn't even have the plate holder. It looks clean, but in VA they're extreme prudes when it comes to what you can and can't do to your car. You guessed it, it's illegal to not have a front license plate. Having been pulled over for a speeding ticket lately (and I'm about to get an exhaust which might bring more attention to my ride)...I decided to get it put on.

Now my question is...where do I get something stupid like this? Would they charge me like $500 for labor at the stealership? Gross exaggeration, I know =P All I need is the holder drilled on or whatever, I have the plate already and I can screw it on myself obviously.

Funny, im about to take mine off. I hate the way it looks. I heard its only a ten dollar fine, plus you can just tell the cop that you had a new bumper just put on and you gonna put the plate on soon.

why not get a plate holder and use some adhesive or whatever instead of drilling a hole in your bumper...

    Hmmm good idea.

Yea the license plate is ugly, but I'm just trying to play it safe. Plus, this way it'll kind of cover up my lower center grill so I won't have to bother matching it with my RS4 grill. =P

Zip ties work great. Easy to put on, easy to snip off.

Put it in the front window. That's where mine is and I haven't had any problems in Ohio, where you need a front plate. I'm in the shopping mode for some suction cups to put through the holes in the plate to make it look a little better.

Some people make me wonder...this isn't difficult.

Step 1: Buy 3m exterior adhesive tape.
Step 2: Apply Tape to Front license plate.
Step 3: Put plate on car.

    It's not that difficult :)

Yea, I'm gonna stick it on today and if I have to get it off, I'll try some Goo Gone and do it very very carefully. If I rip the paint off, then I guess that gives me an excuse to get an RS4 or Kerscher front bumper haha!
