    Any way to compress a GIF file?

    so i made a flash movie type deal and exported it as a gif but i need to compress it a lot so i can make it into a Buddy icon. my best friend's sister's on maxim's website and i need to make her into ab uddy icon to piss him off/have a pimp icon. anybuddy know how i can make it smaller?

    You can use a gif animator like ulead and make it smaller. You can also remove every other frame to make it even smaller.

    buddy icons can only be 8K if I remember correctly...the other thing you can try besides taking frames out would be to save it in less colors when you're optimizing it in the GIF program...if it says 'save in 256 colors' or something (maximum number), maybe set it to 200 or 150 or something and see if that makes a difference...
