I have a 96 and my climate control screen has some kind of red blur in one side> Almost looks like liquid. What is it and is it fixable? Was it a cause of a hit or something. Its looks wierd and i want it fixed.

I don't think that will be fixable. Usually it's a sign that it will be going soon. But, if it's minor, and not spreading, then it should be fine for now if you can live with it. Unfortunately, most of the time when you have issues with the CC, it has to be completely replaced. Which ain't cheap.

I bet it was hit. Sounds like the LCD was cracked and leaked inside itself. I've had calculators do that to me before.

I don't know if there's a part number or if you can only get it with the HVAC, but the screen is a separate piece from the rest of the unit. If there is a part no., it's very easy to replace.

thenk man ill go to some junk yards and look for the screen. My dad barrowed the car for a day. Actualy i barrowed his cause i had to go to PA for work and didnt want to take mine. So this happends. O well not a big deal. Thanks again.

OK i had no luck in finding the LCD display. So anyone have an idea for me. Anyone want to sell me their used one that they think is broke or is broke but the LCD is stil fine. If not then where can i buy a new one. Is it true that 98 climate controls can be put into a 96?? is so where can i get one. Thanks!!
