It looks to be just your basic pine wood with a medium stain. Oh, theres a couple clear coats on it as well.

I don't know what all that crazy garb is on top of it.

I see some sort of Fosgate stuff. I believe the purple wire is Fosgate also. There is a set of RCAs. I also see a large fuse for the power source. I don't know what else, I am not very well versed in the art of audio installation.

0/1 gauge wiring, 4, 8 and 12 gauge. distribution blocks, (one for me) RCA preouts, fuse holder and fuses...

Not really.

On the B5 it was like this:

You had to first undo the third brake light wire.. Then pop off the covers to the child seat restraints, then unbolt the restraints and then basically pop off the rear cover.. Thats was about it.

i dunno about the b6, but im sure it cant be that much different.

What about drilling a pair of 6-8" holes or someting.. i assume your looking to "port" the trunk into the cabin, no?

no...im looking to take it out entirely.i want to seal off the trunk and have my 8" subs fire into the cabin and 15 fire into the trunk.

whats wrong with taking it out? can you drive with it out? what features would i lose? the only thing i can see is the 3rd brake light...
