    Question DIY tinted tail question

    how dark can you go? is it possible to make it look compleatly black? or would that make it so that the light doesn't come thought? and if i screw up, is it possible to take it off?

    You can wetsand it off. I messed up my sidemarkers by going too dark and completely cleaned it off.

    i used testors tint spray...it works pretty good. didnt use it for my taillights but you spray thin layers and it shouldnt run. juts keep going with thin layers until its dark enough for you

    did u have to put a clear coat on after? and what about prep work?

    no prep work or clear coat...but i tinted the inside of the dome light cover...

    shrugs. all i did was tape up what i didnt want tinted. you'd probably have to use a clearcoat if you're tinting the exterior of the light

    I'd use a clear coat if doing the outside.

    I got a tint spray for model cars from Pinnacle Hobby in Markham, corner of 16th and 48.

    I've got to get another can of something, want to do the sidemarkers again.
