i got my chip at WF and i bought a bailey's BPV while i was there. the sheet says half hour installation. is that accurate or should i set aside more time? and on a scale of 1-10, how difficult is it?

30 mins sounds about right. Not that hard to install at all.

depends on how long it takes you to get those damn oem hose clamps off those thing are a fvcking nightmare.... get two small hose clamps before you get under there and i would just zip tie the other one as there arent really hose clamps that get that small and have adequate clamping force. that and its a vacuum line. you might even wanna get a larger one as the stocker is really small and difficult to get over the nipple of aftermarket BPVs.

mine from AWE came with all the stuff i need. directiosn say the crimp clamp is a bitch to get off tho. i thnink i'll save it till after practice so i'm not rushed and won't fcuk sumtin up. can't wait to put it in bc my BPV won't hold the chip's boost already and it's only been a day

If it's your first time, then I would say give yourself an hour, and makes sure you have extra vacuum hose and clamps on hand.

After you do it once or twice, you'll be able to swap it in about 15 minutes. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would say it's a 2 or 3. A pretty easy job.

well, you can take the metal ones apart and clean them, maybe that's what he did?

also, the BPV is really easy, you can do it from underneath in a matter of minutes, most of the time involved is taking off and replacing the belly pan...

it's even easier when you do it with the whole front of the car off, like I did...literally takes 30 seconds...

the belly pan just has clips holding it on, right? that ddoesn't seem too hard, but i also haven't been under the car yet. the belly pan piece is the one right behind the black plastic one, right?

    1) I have no belly pan. Belly pan was ripped off about 10 times after being lowered, and then finally thrown in the garbage. It's useless anyway.

    2) In my car (1997) you do not access the BPV from underneath. No need for jacks, or removing belly pans. You just pull the passenger side headlight (easy job, just 3 bolts), and then scrape your knuckles weaseling your way to the BPV.

very easy to take off. 2 plastic screws in the wheel wells. 3 underneath in front. then 2 more hanging on the metal brakets mid engine
