    Forge DV Install: COMPLETE!

    Finally installed the Forge DV.
Install wasn't that bad at all. I highly recommend using a Dremel to remove the stock clamps. After that, it's a breeze.

The only thing that gave me trouble was connecting the vaccum hose back onto the DV. Hopefully it stays on.

    All in all... a success!

What size clamps do you need to install and replace the stock ones you cut off?

The two bigger hoses are 1", so you'll need a clamp that's between 3/4" and 1 1/4". The smaller clamp is just the smallest hose clamp the hardware store had.

Also-- I'm getting a high pitched whistle sound when I let off the gas. Is this normal?

I had the same problem with high pitch noise when letting off the gas and it was due to tre reversed DV.

So it is normal and is caused by the DV being installed in reverse?

    That makes me feel better.

My first attempt at installing the DV was pathetic. However, this second time around was a snap. You need to put your car up on RhinoRamps and remove the belly pan. You'll be able to access the DV from below and this is the only way to go about it. It's tight up in there with a couple hoses blocking the way, but if you are calm, not under and time constraints or any other pressures it shouldn't take that long. I removed the stock clamps with a Dremel heavy duty cutting wheel.
