I have a question about the pre screen for the air filter, is it alright to take this out or not. I noticed it catches alot of sh%t . I clean every couple of weeks, should I leave it in or not?

    I say leave it on.

I say leave it in, its there for a purpose. People take out insignificant parts like pre-screen filters and then wonder why their engines are kicking the bucket @ 40k miles. The engineers wouldn't put it on there if it wasn't doing something.

Good call. It's much easier to remove your "victims" from the prefilter than from inside the airbox.
