Is the US Spec Ultrasport rear bumper similar to Euro Spec A4 rear bumper?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Seems like all the good rear valences from (Oettinger, ABT, and Sportec) are built for the Euro Spec bumper. Trying to see if US Ultrasport rear bumper is the same size as Euro Spec. I dont' wanna spend that extra $600 just for a Euro rear and then another $600 for an aftermarket rear valence.

    TIA!

probably due to crash regulations...each country has there own or adopts an existing standard.

So if this is true, I can put on a US Ultrasport rear bumper and have it be the same size dimensions as a Euro spec (2-mile crash) rear bumper? My only concern is that the US Ultrasport rears are different in shape and curvature compared to the Eurospec A4 bumpers = thus aftermarket rears (ABT, Oettinger Polyurethane, and Sportec) doesn't fit onto US Ultrasport...... (which in terms means DANG IT!)

I really want the Sportec rear or Oettinger Polyurethane rear (Euro only, and not the fiberglass US version), but it seems like I will have to purchase a Euro spec rear bumper in order to get it to fit right....some one correct me if I am wrong.

I actually don't have the ultrasport. I have a 2002. I was looking for an alternative that will allow me to get the Sportec or Euro Oettinger rear valences without having to purchase a European rear bumper. I know the ultrasports are way shorter in length than the 2002 and 2003 rear bumpers, so I was thinking that might work.

I have a Reiger RS4 front bumper now and Oettinger Poly sides and a Euro Oettinger sitting in my room. Looking to see if I can get a rear that matches. If the US Ultrasport works, I was thinking on doing what Conman2K3 did and shave down the bumpers and make the Euro Oettinger rear mold into the US Ultrasport rears.

    aka like this....

This Rear valence is very very nice. I think it's one piece valence.
Do you have some pics of your car

When you get the answer about the fit with the US Ultra Sport let me know. I am very interest. Maybe I can change my rear bumper to a Us version as you and put a new more aggressive rear valence.

    That my OEM Rear valence
