I finally decided to go through with this install. I bought the LEDs a while ago and was planning to do the install myself. I quickly found out that this was not going to be an easy install. The LED array is wider than the fog area and attaching it to the bumper would not be an easy task. As a result I enlisted the help of a local body/performance shop that has a really good reputation on the local forums.
Am I a poser for putting an S6 piece on an S4? Sure. Call me whatever you like. I have RS4 pedals and RS4 replica wheels as well, so I guess it's a bit of a theme with my car.
The install is not done, so I only have some in progress shots. I'm not sure exactly when it'll be done, but if it's not done by this Friday then it won't be for another week or two. I lost the fog lights (my choice) because there just wasn't enough room for fogs and the LEDs both in terms of physical fitment and visual appeal. We decided to mod the stock fog grille to fit in with the LED array to keep a slightly more OEM look so it doesn't look like it's just stuck on.
Here are the in progress shots:

The only visual parts that are cut are the fog light holders. You can see that the outside is recessed behind the bumper but the inside sits flush with no need to cut a notch.

Both sides on.

Not having my car to drive sucks! But I think it'll be worth it.
