Go to Dynospot Racing right there in SJ, get the chip. ~$500 installed and worth every penny.

Hrm, trade up for a 99.5 Manual.

Personally, I wouldn't modify a fully automatic car for anything more than a chip, but that's just me!

if you've got the $$$ then just go with the k04 now. but know that that will basically be as much power as you'll squeeze out of the engine before you run into tranny issues.

actually you'll need to buy a tip chip when/if you do a k04 otherwise you'll get too much of a rubberband effect from the tranny and you won't enjoy the full potential of the turbo upgrade.

He's not a tip. I don't think the tip tranny came out till 98-99.

i have a couple of questions if i get the chip.

    1. will my car last as long as it would without the chip?

    2. will my MPG change?

    3. will the power difference be noticable?

    thanks again!

    1. Your car should last just as long, no ones car really craps the bed quicker with a chip, that I've read about since I've been around these boards atleast.

    3. Very noticeable. I believe you have 150hp now, you should be a little over 200hp with a chip install. GO GIAC!
