suspension install + alignment?

I called this place, AutoInnovations, and they said that they would install shocks and springs on my car for $350, plus an additional $80 on top to do the alignment. does that sound like a decent quote for labor?

Seems a little high to me. I got quoted around $200 bucks for shock and spring install.

$80.00 for alignment sounds good if its for a Quattro. $350.00 for install doesn't sound so hot. I think you can find a better price for install.

DSR charges $350 for install $100 bucks for alignment. I think we should go to Autoplus in Daly City for a group alignment so that we can get a cheaper price. I think Dawn is down right =P

IIRC; quotes from tuners was around $250-$350 for installation and $100-$150 for alignment. Install time from 2-3 hrs (again, depends on expertise). Alignment takes a while too on quattro.

Of course there will be cheaper ones, but you want to be sure they know what they are doing.

I've yet to see a dealer charge less than 500 for that install, plus, no dealer would align an aftermarket kit around here. If you got that deal, you're very lucky.

G... Make sure that the place that is doing knows what they are doing.

Ask them what they align for. They should be doing a front and rear alignment, checking camber/caster and most importantly TOE. Make sure they know the specs for the Audi since a lot fo places don't.

I got my suspension and alignment done at autoinnovations too. I got eibachs, adjustable konis, 19" ch's and 245/35/19 dunlop sp 9000's installed and aligned for around $3,800. I couldn't find a better price anywhere in the bay area close to that even mail order too. and given the fact that they have been around for over 10 years says alot.

i agree. i had my install done at this place called Dub-Euro in Colorado springs because i heard they get the job done for a decent price. i was charged 180 for it, the cheapest around. so i did it, but i'm regretting it. the bastards installed my front drivers side strut incorrectly. the washers on the top of the strut were installed incorrectly and is causing this horrible griding sound when i move the steering wheel.

just a tip, make sure you go to somewhere thats done b6's before and are comfortable with it.

yes! you always get what you pay for...and prices will vary from state to state and area. many places that do it inexpensive probably will never want to hear your problems with the install after the fact.
