any good spyware detector etc out for free?

I d/l adaware thing on download.com but read the reviews and they said that it's library isn't as extensive as some of the other ones (not free)...anyway...i was able to find a couple of worm virus that was pluggin up my TCP and made my laptop completely BOG down pissed the hell out of me.

which leads to another question...i have Norton bla bla bla run the scan and it doesn't pick it up!!! what's up w/ that?!?!?!

mozilla is an Internet Explorer alternative. Firefox is their browser that is still in Beta, but looks awesome so far.

You should also keep your windows updated with the latest security patches. I just reformatted and not a day later had more than 50 infected files detected by NAV and 36 adware detected by ad-aware. ONE DAY.
