Tires have arrived!!!!

Well they're here...ended up with Toyos T1-S 245/35/20 getting them mounted tomorrow!!! w00t w00t

he's upgrading to an A6 soon.. and bought the wheels first and are gunna put them on the avant first.

I'm there with you Foo. I got them 20x9...Tires... How much $ ... I'm at
245/30/20 Pirelli Nero's @ 280.00 per or BF Goodrich 225/30/20 @ 331 per.
Sumitomo are coming 245/35/20 @ 160.00 but not available until 9/20/04.
The Nitto's 555 235/35/30 @ 186.00 per.. how much for the Toyo's ??
Dom at @ActionSports put a test wheel 20 on a 245/35/20 on...and it fit
perfect...and that was a 38 offset...ours will be 35....I still need to lower it.
Load rate on a 225 is 1333 per tire = 5332 , the gross rate is 4700.. so it
should be safe...safety reasons, I might go with 245's...load rate is better.

Because it was there and no one's done it before and this wheel will look uber nice on the new A6

Darryl: 235's don't exist on that tire from toyo otherwise it'll be a major strecthed piece of rubber. Remember these are 9" wide and Toyo's have been known to run on the narrow side. I've seen Eric's Iforged 20's and he ran the same size tire back then he had rubbing only due to his more aggressive offset IIRC mostly in the rear. I do recall a little bit of rubbing at FULL lock on the inner fender well. The Sportec Avant from autosport werks is running on these as well with minor fender mods i think i heard they just removed the screw on the top of the wheel arch.

I've gone through more extensive fendor modding on this avant due to the RH's i had previously.

I got a hook up w/ the T1-S so the price i got isn't reflective. Good to hear i wont be alone in the 20" club What wheels are you getting in 20x9? 38mm ET didn't have any rubbing on the inner suspension uprights? Toyo is due to have a true Plus 5 size tire for our use but that wont come till Q1 05 so just drive on the cheapest 35's you can get a hold of and then move on to the correct ones. I hope they'll be cheaper than the Pirelli's

my suggestion...keep the Votex sides and get the S4 blades unpainted go for that Euro Spec look I really like those wheels didn't feel it when i saw them online just as a wheel but on the Audi it looks nice. Imagine what that wheel would look w/ a more pronounce step lip...oooooh man.
