Detailing masters, i have a question for you....

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I will be doing some minor/mid detailing my car on Sunday morning. With the rubber trim and plastic i.e. lower/rear bumper valance, do I hit these with some Armor All first, and then wash? Or do I do it very carefully vise versa?

Any other tips and pointers would be greatly appreciated.

    I will not be waxing.

Do not use Armorall on these.

People suggest a product like Mothers Back to Black.

DO youself a favor and through all of the armour all in the trash. Great for chevys, which are all plastic. Bad for german imports.

Another question. I have 3 100% terry cloth towels. I use them for drying but they always leave lint behind and it pisses me off. Any suggestions?

Waffle weave microfiber towels (24'x36') work great, leave no lint or scratches but are kinda pricey. Sportscarcare.com or autopia-carcare.net have better priced ones.

And yeah, the AA is isn't as bad as it used to be, doesn't damage rubber and vinyl anymore, but is only for plastic you want to look very glossy--can't think of what that would be tho.
