    Thumbs down Grrr... Rich people...

So I'm driving the other day and I see this Aston Martin DB7 behind me, so I downshift, pretty obviously, slow down to five under the speed limit to let it catch up so I can check it out and hopefully emberrass myself in a rolling start race But when I get close, I yell, "Yo! light it up!" (his top was down) and this deuschebag gives me this look like "Hey kid, you have any idea how much money I have?" and continues to cruise at 45 in a 45 on a long straightaway in a fast, expensive, exclusive, beautiful car.

Oh well, had to vent. I just think it's aggravating when people buy amazing sports cars just for the status it gives them.

Perhaps he wasn't much for childish games. Last guy I caught up to in a GT2 gave me the look then walked me like I had just parked my car. I was at a bit over a 100 so I can only imagine he was slightly speeding too.

Well one time I saw a Murcielago on the freeway. I heard it from like a mile away.... it was humming so loud. Sweetest engine sound I have ever heard. I caught up to it and slowed down, gave him the thumbs up, he ackknowledges then proceeds to lite it up going 65 miles an hour. I tried to catch up but he was long gone. I wish I could be that rich people give me thumbs up. Well I did one time when the 350z first came up when no one had it. I was driving a friend's 350z for a week and I got non-stop stares and non-stop thumbs up from most of the people I drove by. It felt good.

No offense but if I was driving a car like that and someone said "Yo! Light it up!" I probably wouldn't pay much attention and continue cruising.

Agreed. However, I would acknowledge the guy.

Maybe you're right, but it would have been cool if he had is all I was really meaning

This weekend I was driving back from a friends house on I-90 East, came across this blue Miata and a Silver Cayenne Turbo, the turbo being piloted by this middle-aged woman, they were both racing around weaving in and out of traffic, so I decided that I'd show them what it meant to drive fast, raced em for a bit, got about a mile ahead of them and chilled out, then the lady in the Cayenne caught up, pulled up next to me gave me a big 'ol smile, thumbs up and a wink, that made me feel pretty good

I'd do it just because I am a car nut. Knowing that the kid is in awe and it will make his day, and the fact that would of been me years ago.

Too bad others just think differently.

Yeeeeah, same here. Although I wouldn't blow the kid off, I still don't think I'd pay too much attention. I'd still smile and wave just cuz I know it'd make my day if the roles were reversed.

You guys both hit it right on, that's just how I feel. IF I was in the car, I probably would have a lot at stake as far as illegality goes, so I might not want to light it up, but I would at least downshift or something, give him a nod or a smile. This guy made a face like he just tasted year-old milk.

He was just crusin' down the road.....i pulled up next to him and gave a nod, smile and a thumbs up. And he just looked at me. I was like.......oh, ok. I felt like I wanted to pull his throat out through his back......

Some people are just jerks. Don't waste your time even complaining about them, they don't deserve the effort.

That stuff annoys me so much.
I drive an '01 Nogaro S4 and will definitely put on a little show if anyone asks.

I passed a guy in his 40's a few days ago driving a laser red S4 avant, even spend a bit of time next to him to see what he would do. No reaction at all. None. Not even a glance. And it's not like I drive a car that's hard to spot.
