What exactly sucked about the T28???

I hate to say it, but the T28 is very tempting from PES. I don't have to upgrade the tranny and it's more powerful than a E05, but not as good as a GT28RS, which I can handle. It's very tempting...

How is E-Code running it succesfully in that video?

There is also the issue of manifold bolts coming loose. Which is a pain. I check my car everyday prior to driving to make sure nothing is loose.

I'll more than likely be running a fullrace manifold and gt2871r turbo within the next year or so. Unless of course, there are other viable options.

If you buy the t28 from pes ask nicely to not include the software because calling it shitty wont help the price get knockeddown...also arnt their plenty of people running pes T-28's without problems!

What are you basing that on? PES claims 270 HP on a dynojet with a 25% loss. If you use that same calculation, my car made 285 HP with the E05. And having owned both on the same car, I can tell you that my E05 setup is faster then my T28. Plus I am not breaking bolts or pinging.

The main problem is with the DBW cars, I believe 2001 and up? Due to David's two year run with this GT28RS, he was able to get the software for the DBW cars. Throttle plate issues were one of the problems. The T28/GIAC NDBW cars, like the one Garret owns, ran great and made good power, but no B6 has yet that I know of, Todd at AWE says his B6 is making 300HP so maybe they've figured out the bugs.

If you wanna go GIAC, I'd wait for AWE's kit, I think they make good products. I had the PES T28 on my B6 for 4 months, pretty bad experience, didn't get the needed help from PES or GIAC. When I recently asked Garret about the problems I had on this forum, I kinda got the same response I did for the 4 months I had the kit. However with the right software that kit will make good power as the Eurocodetuning Revo/T28 vs. M3 vid proved.

As far as the bolts coming loose, I'd recommend having a turbo bracket made, this could solve that problem. From what I was told, Garret is now focusing on the B6, so maybe he'll have progamming soon, maybe he'll jump in and give some info.

APR's Stage 3 is what I'm going with, better turbo anyway and their hardware is incredible. Good luck to you!

No body claims 285 for the T28. PES only claims 270 and that is not even on an Audi. I spoke with Garrett earlier today and there is NO software for B6 Audis. He said he has never tuned the T28 for a B6. PES is selling a chip that was made for bigger injectors but not specifically for the T28 and that is coming from Dr. Garrett Lim himself so I don't know why you would even consider that kit knowing this.
