Test pipe question

Will the test pipe work with the neuspeed 1.2 bar chip and a stock exhaust. and is it good to run everyday.

Not in California with all the dumb smog laws that most other states do not have to deal with.

it may not be legal to run, but i don't know why the car wouldn't run okay with it everyday. who's gonna find out?

The car will run OK except your CEL will be on all the time.
Only REVO can disable the CEL due to the O2 sensor.

I run mine everyday and since I have REVO, no CEL and guess what??? My gas mileage got better!

There no way to get rid of the CEL with a vag-com.

I hope the Governator does lessen the severity of the smog laws as they are only getting worse.

e36341hp did you ever dyno the neuspeed power pulley to see if it gave the Hp gains they said.

I ran a test pipe on my Supra for over 3 years. Mpg's were indeed better (once tuned properly to compensate for the O2 sensor readings), and powerband was a LOT more aggressive. Car's exhaust fumes DID smell like shit (i liked it personally, especially w/ race gas).

Personally, there is no use for a cat other than to pass smog (reduces carbon monoxide output) and choke your turbo. And
running without cats also gives you another excuse to run leaded race gas (if you have money to replace the other sensors in the long run) :)

As far as legality goes, you are breaking every emissions law possible. I was very lucky--either the cop was STUPID, or they were very cool and didnt hassle me much (too busy hauling me off to jail from doing 120+). If you got refereed in CA, then you'll have major problems. However, who's going to pull over an slow Audi thinking it's a "race car"?

If you dont want any MIL's or DTC's, I'd drop the NS software and get yourself REVO to take full advantage of the testpipe.

It's gonna work just fine with NS chip except the CEL.
I have even heard that O2 simulators don't work.

Derrick, OT but how strong is the exhaust smell with the test pipe? Also, is the noise level appreciably louder with the E05?

my friend that works at a dealership said that there is three sensors that work with the o2 sensorhe said they will all good bad over time b running a test pipe.
