Lets talk tools. I'm doing the timing belt tommorow.

I dont exactly have an ideal tool setup, but i have a set of metric sockets, metric wrenches, a friend has a torque wrench, im going to buy the torx bits, what else do i need? Will i need a timing light or anything like that? This is my first big car project, but i have help. Im really looking forward to it. Thanks for the help

definitely gonna need some allen sockets..

and maybe some of those bolt extractors that grab onto the outside of the bolts...b/c those allen bolts like to strip very easily..I stripped a couple of them and had to do some drilling..not fun

you'll need a 24mm, 12pt socket to crank the engine by hand. there should be a writeup here or on www.audiworld.com.

you don't need a timing light. needle nose pliers help with removing some of the hoses. rvt sealant if you're gonna replace the water pump too...
