Any car with a turbo should have a boost gauge.

Reason I is cuz I'm wondering if there's any difference in readings between manual and auto during shifts. I'm assuming the readings would drop more in a manual between shifts, then an auto. Is that correct?

it will work... dont worry all turbo cars should have one. They felt like shafting everyone though with the audi's. My only reason why I can think why is aftermarket increase for those few company's? Who knows...

Just get one and install it, boost gauges are opereated by pressure *PSI -- Pounds per Square Inch* You hit the throttle hard -- it will circulate more exhaust to be pushed through the turbo then in that it reciculates to the engine... Where you get the "boost" through it sending more pressure through the engine where you may have tapped a vacuum line will vary the pressure readings.
