    Plug gapping???????

To start off, I am chipped 99.5. I have a set od NGKs.........the ECS tupe (not the colder chipped plugs) and a set of iridiums. How should each be gapped for a chipped car?

Get rid of those iridiums and just stick with regualr copper NGK like the BKR6E or Bosch F7LTCR. Turbos respond much better to cooper the core gets hotter and makes a better spark. Plats stay cooler for longetivity. Plus changing your cooper plugs every 10k is still cheaper than a set of plats. Try gapping them at .032, not certain on the spec range for AEB motors, but between .030 and .034 shoudl be fine. If you gap is too wide the spark blows out and too small you don't get a good burn in the chamber.

I know it's .032 stock........and I've heard that If I'm chipped, I should have them gapped at .028............NGKs that is.

    Anyone know about iridiums?

Know what about them? That they're not good for our cars? Yes, they're not good. Stick with coppers and gap them to your liking. I gap my NGKs to about .030. Next time I may try to go down to .028 and see if I can tell the difference. Ideally, you want the smallest gap possible without misfires.

Well, so i just took out my iridiums and replaced them with NGKs gapped at .028. Don't know if it's mental but the exhaust note at idle is a little deeper and the car boosts up so much better. I sweat my butt dyno felt an increase of 10hp. BTW the Iridiums were gapped at .042...........

correction you want the smallest gap possible withouth detonating... you misfire when the spark blows out not when they gap is too small.... for a 6 range NGK i would stay with .30 for a gap esp if you are running higher boost.
