As some of you may or may not know, I was planning on proposing to my girlfriend... well I did it tonight, on her birthday. She was totally surprised. I took off early from work to arrange everything.
I went to Starbucks (her favorite place in the world) and asked if they'd help with the whole proposing thing - the girls there loved the idea. So they wrote a little message (you'll see it below) on the little chalk-board they have, and off I went to change, shave, shower, and generally get prepared. Bought a nice bottle of champagne and a rose and brought that to mom's (along with her birthday cake) to celebrate afterwards... then I had to sit around and wait for her to get home. Made the excuse of returning some movies to Blockbuster, then headed to Starbucks... she checked out the sign, then I read her a poem I wrote, and asked... she said "okay" in a forrest gump kinda way, but it was all good. I double-checked that "okay" meant yes... she assured me it did =)
Headed to mom's, had some birthday cake, some more pictures, and then she said "hmm... take a pic of your 5 rings now!" so that was pretty cool ;-) Got some pics tho... I think the ring came out beautiful. God I was so nervous!!!!
