who's an Electronic Engineer - need help

a capacitor or resistor or something on the circuit board from my home Air conditioner burnt up and the whole circuit board costs $600 ..... I know how to solder so if I can find this little thing and solder it on there it might do the trick and save me the headache..

can anyone identify the part for me so Radio Shack can help me order one or So I can find it on the internet somewhere'

It looks like a little lolipop with 2 wires sticking out .
Markings on it are

MCI
3D7141
2.5xP3

.................where x = the Omega symbol
(Omega symbol makes me think its a resistor of some sort but have no clue on that.....from what I can remember from my physics classes in college.)
