It has been going on for a couple weeks now and not to knock anyone but the wars between individuals need to come to an agreement. I understand that people share different opinions and think that they know most of what is going on with our cars. I dont know crap so I read what is posted so I can learn. The men that are on here need to men and not children please stop provoking one another to go across a point. I just want AZ to be AZ I have been on here since Nov. 03 and I never have seen threads get so out of hand like they have. So In the words of people in the early 90's "Cant we all just get along?" That is all I have to say if anyone would like to add on you are more than welcome

Well said, and I agree with you nickel. I think that it has gotten way out of hand. I've never seen this from the AZ forums before and I really think it can be bad for AZ. We are starting to attract more informative, performance oriented posts which is good to see. However, its being undermined by disagreements that are more personal than logical.

I do hope that all the AZ members realize that sometimes its not the actual reply that causes the flames, its the tone of the reply. Calling someone names does nothing to further the knowledge.

And I've been a member since Nov 02.

And for the record. Ive met and talked to Derrick (Villians) and he means no harm he is a cool guy and I think alot of people can agree with me. Its just that people say things and you cannot interrupt tone in a email or a post. If someone says something just brush your shoulders off it doesnt make you less of a man or woman if you dont say anything. It makes you the bigger and more mature person.

I would concur with Nickel. I quit posting on bimmer.org for this exact reason. I like AZ because of the laid back informative atmosphere and would like to see that continue.

I came on AZ over AW for the same reason of it's "kick back" environment, but I gotta admit I do get a little carried away with my posts, and apologize to anyone here who is either offended, or just straight fed up with the bullshit. Coming from Supraforums.com (aka: "Gladiator Forums" where flame posts turn into real life death threats...hehe), this is still pretty "mellow" IMO, but it's still bullshit.

Since being on AZ, I've learned a wealth of information, as well as provide some of my own knowledge and background in a "collaborative thinking" environment (clutch jobs, engine rebuilds, etc). Disagreements will always happen, especially when you have to GOOD Rival companies (GIAC & REVO) and it's supporters out to be "the best". I was never much of a REVO guy, but since these recent "flame" posts, I have earned a great deal of respect for its products. Both GIAC and REVO make good products (or else people wouldnt be fighting over them, which is why you never hear about APR anymore..hehe).

Speaking of Bimmer owners, I had to school one of them today on the Fwy. :)

We're all professionals here, and hopefully we can all "get along" online as well as offline. Any "personal" matters should be settled in person, not with a keyboard.

I can agree with what nickel said a few threads got really weird and way too personal, I was guilty as well. I give props to the AZ admin's they showed restraint and let us debate our views, then come to our own agreements.

If you go back and reread the threads, except for the one that was deleted, most of the parties butting heads and throwing mud, made up and apologized. I even called Jeff Moss and we had a good chat, there's no ill will whatsoever, just a few differences. Hey it's not all that bad Garret Lim chimed in to give his side, so we did raise a few eyebrows at least.

This forum is the one I cruise the most now, love the people, the setup and the topics. It's good that the tuners are taking notice, keeps them on their toes and honest as well, which isn't too much to ask.

This is just about the ONLY forum I check out. This is a great forum with a laid back atmosphere and I'm glad to see everything has pretty much settled. Good to see tuners taking interest here too. Shows they care about their product and customers.

One of the reasons I think this Forum works so well is that the majority of the Members are on the same page as the Mods and Admins. We hardly ever have to moderate you guys, you all do a pretty good job of that yourselves. We couldn't be more appreciative. We'd definitely rather sit back and put our faith in you guys to work things out and keep the debates civil and informative. In the end, it will always be about that, and about our general love for cars...especially the ones with the four rings on them.

Well said Anth. I think there are more than a few of us here who are willing to step up and tell each other to stop the bickering or to just ask that we keep the posts insult-less. I really would like to see AZ progress to the best and biggest Audi website, given its laid back nature and, generally, informational posts.

Its been a great site since Nov 2002 until now.. I hope it continues.
