    which wire to tap from the o2 sensor for an A/F gauge?

    does anyone know of a write up on doing this or what i should see when i tap the right wire, because i tapped one i get a reading but it doesn't bounce around and stuff so i think i have the wrong wire tapped....

    It's the black precat O2 sensor wire on the firewall.

    yeah i tapped by the firewall it is impossible to get by the o2 sensor, it is the one closest to the downpipe right the one at the end of the cat or the one at the beginning of the cat?

    Just do the firewall one. At first if the car is not to temp. it will just stand still and not move. It may just stay in the red. But once it heats up it will work.

    yeah its deff. the black wire i had the same problem untill i tapped the right wire, would get a reading but not the right one. till evil told me the right wire. i was always worried about running in the red when first start the car like if im driving in gear an let off the gas the guage will show one bar in the red is that supposed to happen?

    It's been like years since I did mine. I just remember that it was the black wire in the small connector of about 4/5 wires. The black wire gave a certain resistance when you test it.
