i was told that it is still in beta form but you can still put that on your car... the only problem was that it doesnt have a steady idle. Revo also told me that a new beta version (update) is going to be released on this friday. As for the final version they dont know... hope this helps.

Dave had fixed the idle issue. It's working like a charm.

Someone mentioned that Revo is making the sofware for more power on the 2004s... can that be true? (was a post on aw.com before)

The only thing that matters is who makes more reliable chip.
They are all gonna be +_ 5 HP so reliability and customer service is what should matter.

The REVO Software for the B6 A4 which is the AK program is not FINAL or out yet in North America!!! I am running the BETA v3 on my car right now and it's very close to perfect. The idling problem is still there but that's the only problem i can see. Plus it is very aggressive. A little too aggressive in other words at full boost i'm hitting 1.7 bar on that small K03 which is totally toasting it plus the tranny cannot hold all the torque going to the wheels because i hear some loud *clink clink* noises every now and then.. hahaha but whatever, that's the risk of BETAs right. But all in all, itll be a really nice program once it's complete. The boost just needs to be turned down to 1.2 bar at most on a stock k03.

So please just wait till it's out, there's no ETA at this time but it should be out pretty soon.

i just talked to my local REVO dealer.. he said 04 programming is RELEASED.. im going there tomorrow to get the trial and then if i like it im gonna buy it for my Avant, and for my Passat..

maybe because they are busy at work. When I called this morning for the 1.2 bar settings for the BETA they were really busy programming a bunch of custom programs for people.

If you use 1.5 bar you will be straining your stock turbo because a K03 since it's so small, it can only handle so much and 20PSI+ is not one of them.

I don't know if it will be more aggressive once it's final version is done but the V3 beta is kicking my cars ass! haha .. i'm turning down the boost this afternoon and i'll see how it runs.

Revo is adjustable. Why you would leave your car running at 1.7 bar is beyond me. The defualt setting is 1.3-1.4 bar I believe on the 04.

1.2-1.3 I'm pretty sure. There is so much more to making power than boost though. Timing maps, fueling etc all play an intregal part. Otherwise, would could just by an mbc and be done with it.

The BETA v3 came like that. I didn't tweak a thing. It was set at 1.5 bar when I got it. We ran out of SPS3 so we are going to cut down the boost via the REVO programming tool.
