    A/C

    Hey guys-

    I have a 2004 Audi A4 1.8t Quattro-
I have owned the car for about 6 months and the a/c has never worked. I finally got around to finding the issue and the hose on the passenger side condenser was loose and therefore there was no refrigerant left. I replaced the o ring and tightened it all back up.

    My two questions:

    1) should I replace the drier and orfice tube before I fill it?
    2) do I have a need to add any oil into the system?

Yes, the dryer in an open system becomes useless very quickly.

Also, the compressor needs the proper refrigerant and pressure to lubricate, so have its operation checked.
