I'd much rather be at your position because you technically would get to leave half a day earlier from when you usualy have left if you were at work. Work sucks. I am at work too

Sorry you got called up, but it happens to everyone, even lawyers. Be thankful you've got computer access. That's a fairly recent creature comfort. Not editorialize Dawn but :gets on soapbox:

It is every citizens civic duty to make oneself available to serve on a jury of their peers. While it may be boring and an inconvenience, just know that if and when you are ever before a jury, one would hope that those 12 individuals take the matter seriously and do not let their distaste for the job impair their ability to judge fairly.

Now all I can say is come to Hooters tonight and relax with some well-earned wings and beer

yes i am very thankful i have acces to a computer...although i delaying my urge to urinate to my utmost best... i heard we have a break from 11:30 to 1:30 and i know there's a hawaiian drive in here somewhere close hmmmmmm

i think it's on elcamino but i cant remember.

Just to let you know, my car says hello to the Jury waiting room.....as well, if you notice on the Spotted thread, I have seen 2 Yellow B5 S4's in the last day alone.........;)

step 1: disconnect CAT5 cable from the back of the desktop PC

step 2: plug-in the cable to your laptop

but it'll only work if the courthouse's network does not require access authentication... also most courthouses have BBSM that'll let lawyers login and bill them later.... login as Curtis Woo!

For some reason the defense likes uninformed jurors.

Or better still... start google up and look for "Death Penalty"... You'll be passed up for sure. :)

That was my saving grace. I stood up and requested to be excused due to financial difficulties and the comment was made about the book I had been reading. I had taken the cover off and it is an all black book with big bold letters in silver EXECUTION

It is a business book, and a great read!

soooooooooooooooo i got dismissed at 3:45!! man!!! the defendant didn't have an attorney and kept dismissing all the jurors who've served before..everytime they called a name i had to hold my breath and hope my name wouldn't be called.

but already had my whole schpeal....something about..how i've been pulled over for ashing out of my car, tint...no front license plate...so i can't help but feel biased...and feel "profiled"

that was quite interesting. thank goodness they had internet access or i'd go crazy!
