Aftermarket and Warranty, a deadly combination?

Is there a compnay that makes aftermarket engine stuff that keeps Audi Warranty intact? I know with BMW, if you get Dinan parts, they act as if the car was on factory warranty. Does Audi have something like this? perhaps Oettinger?

Didn't TAP (or was it ATP) have a deal with a few of the dealerships? IIRC some dealerships were even installing TAP chipped ECUs, but I could be wrong. Also TAP doesn't have the best reputation in the Audi enthusiast community (unlike Dinan and BMW).

Depends on the dealership, and what products you have. There is nothing that will guarantee that you don't get your warranty revoked though.

well cant you put like audi sport stuff on. even tho they dont make much. i guess you can say a good rule of thumb would be if they sell it at the dealer it should be fine. i know bmw sells dinan at the dealer, same with toyota and trd.

One reputable/reliable/popular OOOO aftermarket company could mack it hard if they struct a deal with AoA about warrantees. I could see AoA allowing K04's to keep warrantee as long as it was installed by that shop, sort of like the Dinan/Bmw partnership you all have spoken about above. But dont forget AoA warrantee department loves tuners to trick out the cars, think about it, for everything you put on whatever that aftermarket part effects they are no longer obligated to cover issues regarding or relating to that part. ALthough it could be a Good marketing plan for some creative company...

Whatever company could strike up a deal with AOA would jack up their prices like dinan did and i know i wouldnt have the funds to buy the stuff so i would just screw the warranty because dinan stuff is expensive as hell!

I very close friend of mine, which will remain anonymous, just bought a certain TT 225 coupe and it was Audi Assured. Turns out that the car is APR chipped, since the cruise function flashes 1 time several times and then flashes 2 times (sorry for the terrible description) and that's when it's in chipped mode.

I doubt that the dealer knows it, or I really doubt that it would be assured if they did. However, I think he'll have a major case if they ever try to deny him warranty work because of his chip. Not a bad place to be...
