On Wed my testpipe and downpipe are being installed. I know that I will get a CEL light, but my question is... will my car go into limp/safe mode? Can i drive around with the CEL light on without issues? I plan to get the REVO chip in a month or so (whenever they release it). So that should take care of the CEL light, but without the software should i be ok?

If you know the cel is ONLY from the test pipe (check with a vag tool every few days etc) then you should be fine..

Sat is right, you will be fine, then when you get the Revo, presto, it's gone.

I believe REVO is one of the few companies that have a fix for the MIL from a test pipe. But with or without the MIL, it shouldnt "hurt" anything. Some cars see a MIL and will freak out (not sure about the B6 A4), thinking either the A/F wacked out or the A/F is not monitored properly--some ECU's will make the car run SUPER RICH as a result to compensate (in case the car is leaning out).

GIAC can also disable the MIL light, but it will need to be programmed in by GIAC.
