Has anyone ever put one in their A4? I'm picking and SAFC2 up today ($200, worth $400 < still in the box ), and wondering if anyone had done it yet. Pics would be awesome too!

Decided not to... I'm getting an exhaust this week, as well as a new shift knob. I want to make a black alcantara e-brake boot also. I've also discovered that you can get 2 black 'Bride' alcantara racing seats (with rails) for $300 shipped so I'll be ordering seats soon as well.

I had an SAFC in my one of my Talons. It was a great way to adjust fuel output when dealing with a stock computer.

I don't see it doing any good though becuase we have an ECU that can be programmed for optimal performance based on the turbo/fuel pump/injectors that we run right now.

I used my SAFC to tune my car back to normal conditions becuase I had:

    1. a modified MAF sensor
    2. turbo that produced about 120CFM more than stock
    3. 255 Litre per hour fuel pump
    4. 550cc injectors.

All these variables made it very hard to get the car to idle, accelerate or run smooth at top end. Thus, the need for manual adjustment.

If you were running an odd turbo/fuel system combo that no one could create a program for, then you might want to try the SAFC but, in the terms of a fairly stock A4 with a K03, the SAFC is really pointless.

EDIT: I just realized that you have a 12v V6. This is even more of a reason to leave the fuel mapping right where it is. How much power are you expecting to wring out of the V6 with this thing? This is why there are very few V6 chip programs out there. The gains aren't that impressive.

Any gain helps with a 12v. If nothing else, I can try it out, and if I don't like it, box it back up and sell it for a profit.

You're welcome to try it. I'm just explaining why one would buy it and what you could expect.

It just that the SAFC is still about $350 and the gains from it won't be worth $350.

    Just my $.02

I only paid $200 for it, so if it isn't as good as I'd like, I can sell it for $250 or $300. I do appreciate your input though.
