Has anybody try this product from Quick time Performance, it opens your exhaust with the flip of a switch, it goes from stealth quiet to wide open power. Saw this on a GTI, it sounds so mean with it open, cool product.

I used to see these when I had my 3000GT, some guys ran them. But, it was basically a testpipe, with Y so you could connect one to the regular exhaust, and the other path was to outside. It would open with a flap to switch back and forth.

But, I think it replaced the cat. In our cars that may mean a CEL. Not sure. Either way, I don't think there's much to be gained compared to any decent aftermarket system. And I think it would sound like crap on a 4 cyl.

They're good for custom exhaust kits that don't have the clearence for swapping out a track pipe for a street pipe.

I can't see a great deal of benefit from this unless you were running a much bigger turbo than the K03.

The K03 is held back by our stock exhaust but, it does need some backpressure for proper scavenging of the exhaust gasses.

I'd say that you'd have far more luck with a dump tube on a Stg. III kit. Then at least you'd have more benefit for top end flow at the track.

I once went drag racing with my 1990 DSM while my down pipe was broken at the flex section. Bear in mind, this car had a much larger turbo than stock but, it definately increased my trap speeds by a good 3-4 MPH. it lowered my 60' times a little though because the turbo was pushing exhaust directly to the atmosphere.
