New A4 8E Body Kit under development.

We are cuurently working on a new bodykit for the A4 2002-2004. The designs will be very different from the ones currently on the market.

The bumpers will be full replacements and not add ons with a aggressive design. The material is planned to be poly-urethane.

We will try and post some rough design sketches on the forums for everyone to look at.

audi is pretty cheap compared to BMW or Mercedes kits. Have you ever priced one of them out?
Then take a look at 911 body kits, they are insane. Techart is crazy!

i hate to be the one to say it, but i highly doubt vorsteiner is gonna make a "cheap kit"

im expecting prices to be around oettinger pricing, maybe slightly less or more...

specially if its a full bumper and etc.

I agree with you enjoi, if they are going to charge $1,400 for their boser hood then how do you figure that a full poly. kit will be on the cheap side. By the way Vorsteiner, how's that hood coming along? Done yet?

1400 for the hood? i don't htink i could ever spend that much on my car unless it was paid for by a sponsor. But then again, i would never want those stickers on my car.

Why are the Oettinger kits so expensive, aren't they made of fiberglass. I saw a for sale ad with someone selling a oettiner rear skirt and said it was fiberglass!!! Is this true of the whole kit.

I was always under the impression poly urethane is the best material to use. I'm trying to decide on a kit but can't find the right combination/price so far. I hope this new kit is what I'm looking for.

Oettinger is PUR, which is injection molded. Its plastic better than ABS, someone correct me if im wrong.. Oet is deff not fiberglass.

The US verson of the Oettinger rear valence is fiberglass because it's an add on piece. The US rear bumper is a fake 2 piece and must be cut...
Most add on pieces are lighter and made of fiberglass.

yea, it is pretty crazy. I don't really understand why either. I mean, if you look at a kit for a civic, or an integra, or some other kind of cheap import, the kits are substantially cheaper. On top of that, if you pick the right manufacturer, there really is no difference in quality. I've seen perfect fitting, polyurethane full kits for imports for well under $1000. On the flipside, you got something the like the rieger for our cars, its not polyurethane, doesn't fit too hot, and costs upwards of $1k retail for the full kit. I guess companies just figure that since we drive cars that are more expensive, we are automatically going to shell out more cash for aftermarket parts....which is ridiculous imo.

As for the pricing on the kits, it will be priced lower than Oettinger. We cannot say much more on pricing at this current time. We hope to post some design sketches very soon for the members here to preview before anyone else.

We plan to have the car presented at Sema this year.

Ya I totally understand. I sure hope my "assumption" is wrong cause honestly I love the hood and it seems to be a great CF weave and I'd hate for the price to drive people away from the hood. And I am looking forward to the kit since you did such a good job with the hood I figure the kit will be up to par with that. Good luck with the production of both!
