bad bad night

tonight me and my girl got into a fight, when i drove her home she slammed my door closed so hard and it mad this buzzing noise now when ever i close my passenger door there is a rattaling noise does anybody know what this could be?

Before we go blaming the girlfriend for everything, we don't even know what the fight was about. Maybe 04A4CT pimp slapped her for smudging his fresh wax job on the A4, so she got pissed and slammed the door. Just kidding...

It's probably somethng loose inside there making the noise. Just take it by the dealer when you get a chance.

Should be covered by warranty, in which case you could still send her the bill of $0.00. If it is the door, I'm pretty sure you can't do anything short of disassembling it to see what's wrong. So just make an appointment and have the dealer fix it.

As for the girl, I think you have to understand the action was performed under an abnormal emotional state, plus what do you expect her to say about apologizing for the door if she's still mad? Good luck with both.

well the fight was over her going to hang out with her ex boyfriend which i didnt think was nesescary and then it got into a whole trust thing, the window was up and i put it down and there was no problem im going to audi tomorrow to see what the problem is.

My girl always makes threats to mess my car up or break my guitar when we get in fights. She knows how to scare me good. My door has not been slammed yet, noticed I said yet. Dealer will cover it man. Just leave the slamming part out of it and say what the F is upwith my door.

You guys are too damn funny. I forgot all about those days of screaming mad girlfriends. Get to my age and that part drops off quite a bit, even when I go out with someone a lot younger.

My gf is 11 years younger. If she gets mad she threaten to swipe my credit card and go on a spending spree. Little does she know I would take that any day over a door slamming or paint scratching.

On a similar note: Question for you guys. I have always been a car freak and mostly German cars. This is my first Audi-03 A4 and I love it.

My current gf and I have been dating about a year! So the question is: How long did it take to train your girls' about what is ok and not ok when it comes to your ride?

Example: when I first met my girl, she knew nothing about autos other than the names. After our third date as we walked out of a restaurant and got to my Audi, one of the girls that was with us asked her for some gum. She sat her purse down on my, spotless, shining, waxed and slippery hood. Just about every artery in my body nearly bursted from the pain and agony I felt knowing that my dark ming blue paint was being scratched. I was speechless and of course didnt say anything because someone who knows nothing about cars would look at you like there is really something wrong with you. Besides she was hot and I knew the next morning I could buff it back to perfection.

Answering my own question: after about a month when she realized that I wash and wax the car every week, we had the talk. I reminder her of that night with the purse and she told me I should have said something. Anyway, now before she gets in the car she checks her feet to make sure they are not dirty. She is great and opens the door by the handle so as not to get finger prints. She now even parks her Jeep way out far to avoid a possible door ding. Gotta love her for being so car conscious and now she is a Audi fan.

dukez, good point! I agree with you man, girls got to go or pay up when I see her in court. They usually also dont have a clue how expensive it can be to fix a scratch or dent. So probably why the car gets it first. Its the one thing they know we love almost as much as them.

thats maybe a bit much though man, a purse on your hood wont scratch it unless shes draggin it around. its good that shes contientious of your car and stuff, but its not like a rare gem, its just a car. i love my car too, but i dont go through all the trouble people do with taping it up for trips and babying it all day, ofcourse i detail it when need be, but i dont fret over the little stuff, its no big deal.

Thats exactly what she was doing. Couldnt find the gum and it was sliding all over the hood . Its not the small stuff when it keeps happening. Before long the the whole car looks beat up.

Its not a big deal either if you have a lighter color because they barely show and are much easier to get rid of. Darker cars like mine and those black, show everything so it takes extra care and concern. Ask Foo!

I at least have metallic paint to hide some things, but that incredible looking black doesnt hide anything.

me being anal around my car makes my gf anal about my car.. she keeps it clean for me =) and she sometimes gets more anal about my car than me~!

for example... people in the passenger rear ( she always sits shotgun)...i parallel park at a sidewalk and then before my passengers get out she yells watch out for the curb! his cars low and scratches it!!! i just chuckle and continue on my way knowing my gf's holdin it down

my gf has put as much time into washing and waxing my car as much as i do... i make her help =) so she appreciates the car just as much as i do!

Whether it's your gf or not, if someone sees how much you care for your car, they'll understand to be careful. If you don't say anything or act like you don't care, she's only gonna reflect that. I don't baby the car alot, but I do expect others to be considerate.
