aha, i believe Lumas had this problem at waterfest last year, (so ive heard) im not sure what he did to fix it though thats a tough one. i would say try using something thin and stiff through the grille of the car and try to push it up, unless there is a better way somehow. i mean, you could always remove your whole bumper and get to it that way, but thats probably unnecessary work.

Yeah you have to kinda push it through the hole before you snap the grill into place. I did that and used a couple screwdrviers to get it out.

yea, you just have to be careful like Ben said, its not difficult if you catch it before you shut the hood.. i almost did it myself but i noticed it didnt go though.

I had the same problems when i put mine in.
I know this has already been said, but Lift the hood release through the hole before you set the RS4 grill in place. That will should do it. If not, i'm not sure maybe dremel the hole a little larger?

You just have to put the lever through tthe hole before you mount in completely into the hood. Its angled in such a way that you have to do it liek that. You shouldn't have to dremel or cut anything.

Yea just needs to be lined up prior. I almost did it with my stock grill once. You should be able to pry it into the hole with a lot of pressure and a little care. Use a towel or something to protect the plastic when you're prying.

if all else fails, just firmly pull the grill out, with the right amount of force it should come right off with all tabs still intact

I did that as well the first time and when trying to pry it out through the opening I snapped the end of the hood release but I got it through, but I ended up buying a new part and replacing the one I snapped. Everybody does something stupid once in a while.

You can try to pry it through but be careful or you'll snap the end like I did.

taking it off the conventional way would require opening the hood, which he can't do because the latch is stuck behind grill. See the problem?

When I made my custom grill, I just air sawed the lip off of the lever. If you think about it, you are gonna slip your hand underneath and pull forward anyways, so what the heck do you need that little lip for? without it you can pull far enough forward to pop the hood.
