    This may be an extremely noob question, but I'm gonna ask anyways...
    Do our cars have axles? Reason I ask is cuz the Haynes repair manual doesn't mention anything about them and everyone keeps talking about control arms.
    Again, sorry for the noob question.

    Yes, axles are in all cars.

    Control arms are suspension links, and do a totally different job than an axle.

    That's what I thought. It is common sense I guess. Just got confused cuz the repair manual doesn't mention anything about axles. Anyways, thanks for clearing it up.

    hayes manuals suck from my experience. They lack detail and seem to cater to many models in one book. Some of the pictures were soo far off from what my vehicle actually looked like.

    The best manuals that i've used are dealer ones... but they are $$$$.
