Thumbs up The UPS man brings gifts!!

I just got a set of H-Sport sway bars and wow am I impressed.
I knew Hotchkis had been doing domestic sway bars for years but I had not had any experience with thier bars on any other types of cars. Well I guess the experience paid off because these bars are really nice. The finish is really clean and the quality of the mouinting hardware is superb. After a while most sway bars with eurathane bushings will begin to make noise and the only way to solve this was to partialy remove the bushing and bracket to re-lube the problem area. Well H-Sport has engineered grease fittings right on to the bushing bracket that travel straight through a hole in the bushing to channels inside the bushing that can store the lubricant. (very nice design!!) The bars are also very light in comparison to other aftermarket manufactures as they are hollow. The rear bar has 2 positions so you can play around with the setting to your preference. I only got to drive a short distance home but just on those turns I could tell the understeer (this is on a fwd not Quattro ) was drasticaly reduced and the car would resond better to quick movements.
The body of the car sits real flat and undisturbed but the general ride quality does not seem to have suffered.
As for now I am going to say I am very happy with the product and I can not wait to put the bars through a bit of abuse to get a better idea how they are.

Here are some pics of the bars including a pic of the grease fitting mentioned earlier and a pic with a quarter next to the front bar for size refference.

Every bit as good...and then some. He comes to my house once or twice a week. Santa, on the other hand, is a lazy bastard and only comes once a year.

    Yup-
It is an all bolt on kit with no welding needed

Install was really easy as long as you have access to a lift

I think that was what impressed me most about the kit.
go figure-someone actually thinking about the down the road issues and not just trying to sell something that was underdeveloped. What a new concept

They are indeed the a4 set--
The s4 is slightly larger in the front I believe. From the pics I see of you and your car you could take advantage of the s4 set. These bars I have are actually on my girls car and I didn't think she would ever use the larger diameter bar to it's full potential and the ride would be a slight bit rougher over uneven pavement.

If it were my car I would go for the bigger is better concept like yourself

Your install will be very easy--
the only thing we found we neede to do was un-hinge the exhaust to aid in removing the rear bar but other than that it was a snap..

    ENJOY!!

Yeah, if I were just streeting my car, I'd stay with the A4 bars, as they are more comfortable from what Hotchkis said, but since I do plan on tracking it extensively, I'll be needing bigger rear bar.

The fronts are actualy the same and the rear is 2mm larger that's the only difference.

How long did the install take?

Yeah--I think it was real late when I posted and I was having some brain fade...

I would have liked to go with the bigger bar but the ride quality thing was the issue. I did not want to hear my girl whine..

You will be stoked with the larger bar. (and I will envy you)

The install took about 1.5-2.0 hours depending on skill level and it was time consuming but easy.
