My car needs a heart transplant~

So my two friends and I left for Vegas on the July 4th weekend, the Friday. We head out from downtown LA, going on the 10E for approx 20 mins (Norwalk area). I was in the fast lane doin 70-80mph, and all the sudden my rpm drop to 0, and recovered back to 3000, then finally lose it at the end. I flip my hazzards on, and pulled to the bank, and right as I stop, I know it's gotta be my TB.

To make a huge story short. We managed to get to Vegas that night with a rental car. The car is now at Norwalk Audi for service. The last update I got on the car, I need a entire engine rebuild!!! And when I went back to get something outta the truck, all the parts were laying in the back (from the TB down to the Valves), doesn't feel good when you know your car is, somewhat, sick. Well, just wanna share, hope you all had a great 4th of July~

P.S: Vegas was toooo much fun, it got my head away from thinkin about the car~

I feel your pain, my car wasn't sick but she was having annoying noises coming from her front and rear end(control arms). Well stupid me decided to remove the arms before i get the replacements. So, until today, she had been sitting in my garage on jacks for 2 months and i couldn't do anything any earlier because i didn't have the money for the parts i needed.

If the TB went, that could cause a lot of damage to the engine

This happen to a mate of mine. cost him $8000 Au so inUS dollars it's like $5000 but i'm sure you guys get parts cheaper than we do in Australia.

man, sorry to hear about that. I just found out that my car hasn't had it's TB changed yet, sitting on 95 and some change. My mechanic has ordered or should have at least, everything for my. How many miles did you have one your car??
