didn't someone got stranded like that before??? i think i recall Audi putting up the bill to tow/flat-bed the car back to the owner's residence some 200 miles away...

can't remember who it was though... an di can't remember if he got a rental or if Audi paid for a plane ticket for him...

They might have a mobility gurantee in there someplace. From what I rememeber they are supposed to give you a loaner to continue on your way. I may be confusing this with the BMW warranty though.

Audi should pay. Roadside assistance is essentially pre-paid insurance policy that is built into the selling price of your car. Not everyone uses it. Some people will use it a lot. The truck drivers that will pick up your car or come out to assist you don't work for Audi. I'm sure they would be more than willing to go the extra mile for you and just bill Audi for the work.

It happened to me and my 03 18T. Audi forked up the bill for the towing fee. Then ( I knew him ) the manager picked me up from the dealership and drove me home. Supplied me with a rental car that picked me up from my house, all covered.

yeah especially with oil pump failure, and (now) fuel pump failure which isn't fixed yet. (to be fixed next week), on the weekends, i travel to another state very often. it's about 300 miles round trip.

Well I had to get towed about 95 or so miles total. First if you get stranded on the hiway, only authorized hiway tows can tow you off those hiways, then Audi roadside will dispatch their towing people. Was in a situation like that before and they took great care of me. Also note it happened a little before 1AM on Saturday. They towed the car to the dealership which was about 95 miles away and I went along with the tow truck later that day. When I got to the dealership I was given a loaner. One more thing I should mention, if you get towed from the hiway by a “hiway only authorized tow company” you have to pay them upon tow, so your best bet is having them tow you off the hiway to the 1st exit so you will only have to pay somewhere around 65$ which Audi will refund back to you.
    Good Luck!

I had coilpack failure in my 01 while on vacation up on Cape Cod(3-4hours away). They flatbedded my car, the tow truck driver gave me a ride to the dealership with the car and they gave me a loaner(rental) from there. All costs paid by AoA. Luckily my car was ready before I left. I guess you would have to go pick it back up.
