Just want to know. when you fit the S3 bumper bar onto your A3 Sports back. did you need to change anything on the bumper bar to make it fit??

Or it just bolt on, because i was looking at putting Oettinger Body kit onto my S3 ( the kit that for A3 sports back ). and i spoke to Oettinger Australia. and they said that head office said it will not fit.

But then if you did fit a S3 bumper back onto you car. which mean then the S3 and A3 fitments are the same. there aren't any different between them.

any information would help.

I definitely did have to make adjustments to my impact bar. You can see the details of what I had to modify in this link:

Since I had to cut off some of my impact bar, I would think that the impact bar on your S3 should be smaller than mine. So I don't think you should have problems fitting the Oettinger front bumper on your S3. If it still doesn't fit after you try, then you can try to trim your impact bar the same way as I did. Hope this helps.

There is a complete write-up on vwvortex for this bumper conversion... cant find the link on there right now, but its there, its a complete step-by-step write-up. You do need to cut the reinforcement bar to fit the S3 front bumper on the A3, the write-up shows exactly where to cut and how and how much to cut off.

Latest modifications:

I added vinyl to the the grill chrome and bought an s-line rear bumper!







I then added OEM audi wheel nut covers which compliment the wheels i think
