i know that its recommended to use dish soap before you clay bar. is this because it strips the wax? if i wash my car with dish soap will i be wasting all my time that i spent waxing my car last weekend? if so, then what kind of car wash concentrate should i buy?

Well, yes, you wasted your time waxing. Ideally, the process would be to wash with dawn, then clay bar, 3M IHG, P21S GEPC, then a coat or two of wax (blitz, p21s). I'd wait a month or so, then do it. For now, just wash your car.

As you are about to notice, i have never waxed my car myself.

What the hell is "3M IHG, P21S GEPC"?

3m Imperial hand glaze and P21S gloss-enhancing paintwork cleanser. The glaze will restore that "wet" look to the paint, and the paint cleanser will clean and condition the paint.

Look on Audiworld, under exterior. There's Troy's guide to car-care nirvana - excellent start for detailing and taking care of your car's paint.

Use zip wax wash it works good and gives your car a little wax layer. As said before just wash with somehting like that it works AWESOME! then wait a few weeks then clay bar it!
