need a new battery -- what would you all suggest?

IS there a certain company any of you would recommend? Or will it really matter -- the previous owner had it replaced probably 2 years ago its one of the factory audi battery's.

I went on vaction for 3 wks and I came back and it was completely dead!!! I could charge it up but then again you should be able to leave the car for a few months and it should be able to start again. So I am just going to replace the weak link because I might be driving from here to So cal soon when i move out there. *hopefully ill be able to just flatbed it*

I just had to get a new battery yesterday. I just ended up with Diehard from sears.

i've seen a few posts about batteries and it seems that interstate and diehard batteries are supposively identical if you were to go with those 2 choices. i think boosted was using an odyssey but i could be wrong and optima doesn't make orange tops anymore

I just said screw it and went to advanced auto and got one with a 3 yr warrenty. Its called an autocraft or something like that. Not to bad! It was like $65 bucks w/a $10 core. Came to like 85 something with tax.

Good for you. my advice would have been not to go to the stealership like I once did. they raped me for 215. for a friggin battery.

For sure! No sense in getting raped for something that is really the same... IIRC the audi battery's are supposed to be made by interstate or something.

geez, $215....

The amazing part is that most people probabaly pay it and thinks it's ok.

The batteries they use are made in Germany which is cool but, they aren't any better designed than the Diehard batteries. At least the Diehard is maintainence free.
