    Talking Got Revo Today!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Thanks to James@Creative

    The drive home was fun

I definately feel a difference but maybe I was expecting too much.

I'll find out after I race my friend's G35 to see how much faster I got. He said it will feel faster after awhile when computer adjusts.

Very happy to be chipped. Can't wait to get testpipe and intake and stage 2.

    Thanks James!

Give it time to settle in dude give it around 200 miles of driving. If the g35 is auto it should be a good race. But if its stickshift then thats a different story. 25 more hp if im not wrong.

congrats...let us know the results, just keep it safe. I went straight to stage 2 with the testpipe, so I never got a chance to feel the difference between stage 1 and 2.

    Re: Got Revo Today!!

well just woke up from a nap.

    thanks for all comments.

revo stage one is 91 I think.

my friend g35 is stick and I beat him when I was stock from stop to 60. raced him twice and won twice. his trap speed @ 60 was a lot higher tho because if we kept going then he woulda passed me like I was standing. well I jumped like half car to two thirds and kept the lead until 60.

he had exhaust and intake and dubs. I was surprised my car did that well. so was he. now he got a testpipe and I got an exhaust and revo. I wonder who will win now.

maybe theres something wrong wit my friends g35?

I prefer that you NOT disclose the intent of "street racing". But at least you're having fun with new engine software.

There is. It's called massive, heavy unsprung weight in the form of heavy a$$ 20" wheels and tires. Plus, he's probably launching and spinning the rears? If not, then he might his traction control on which is cutting his power once the wheels start to slip at launch.
So, drivers skill has a lot to do with it. His might be lacking, and/or his wheels/tires aren't helping.

Launching a RWD requires finesse as too. AWD's will bog off the line if not done right due to the added traction. RWD's can end up spinning the tires and wasting time trying to get grip.

    Laughing at someone's death?
Integration is a respected person on this forum.
However, that is not a respectful attitude.

If he finds the death of someone that street races FUNNY, then he shouldn't care if they race.
Street racing can be dangerous to everyone on the road including the racers, and that's why people should think twice about racing, and be really careful where they open up their cars speed.
I don't find someone's accidental death, funny, even if it was their by own fault.

    Re: Got Revo Today!!

thats exactly what i was taling about this guy never mentioned racing on the street he just said he wants to race his friends g35 and integration talks about laughing at his death you know what screw that just because someone drives a little fast or races on some backroads doesnt make them a bad person thats a retarded attitude to have. There are billions of cars on this planet do you really expect everyone to drive at the speed limit especially when some places have totally bullshit speed limits.

    Re: Got Revo Today!!

My point is, car enthusiasts have a hard enough time minding their own business without being harassed by "other car enthusiasts" in a "cockfight". Also in southern california, car enthusiasts are already stereotyped and profiled by the police as people that commonly break laws. I've been pulled over many times when minding my own business and getting being searched for "illegal substances", having my car checked for "illegal modifications" by cops that don't know what they'e looking at. My idea is that the less people post up public racing stories that just seem to take place on the street the less innocent people like me will be harassed. If you don't know already there are always members of the law enforcement that lurk and monitor these car enthusiast forums. They may not target you directly but you are feeding them information that even people that drive respectful cars like Audis would stoop to the level of a street racer and potentially endanger innocent people.

To the original poster and others. I make jackass remarks only to make you second think about doings things like race on a public road. There are so many unknown variables that may happen- like there was a thread in the past where I mentioned some Jetta was racing a Honda CRX near my college and about a mile down a lady in a wheel chair was crossing the street legally. And the Jetta ran her over and dragged her body for about 50 ft or so, killing her in the process. You don't know if things like that will happen. I'd rather be flamed and lose a decent reputation if I could make someone second think their actions.

You're not going to change anyone's opinion on street racing especially on a web forum of auto enthusiasts and lot's of younger guys.
The way to offer impact to someone is not to berate them or make them feel stupid. That's only a good way to make someone simply think you're just being an A$$.
Offering, simply, stories like you just did or some helpful guideline suggestions MIGHT make someone think.

Also, showing that you "walk the talk" by posting cool track racing video is another good way to make your point.
    Nice video and racing, btw.
