Question Best plastic joining glue for center cap?

What should I go buy to put my center cap together?

I removed the flik sticker and now I'm ready to glue on the audi cap and want to use something that is going to last...I still plan on smoothing down the audi cap to get a better surface.

hmm if a plastic welder is anything like true welding I'm afraid I would make too much of a mess. The outside joint will probably mostly be hidden but I don't want to make it look sloppy.

Maybe try a silicone glue? Everything I've used it on has lasted a long time.

Use a 2 part epoxy and I would suggest roughing up the 2 surfaces that need to be bonded. They will adhere much better.

Thanks all, I'll go out looking for stuff today!

I hope so widm3r...I'm hoping the silver is close enought to the Fliks silver color.

I agree. I'd use some 2 part epoxy. It works wonders with plastic. I acutally held off buying a filter for my pool (my previous house) for a year with that stuff! Of course, if it will hold up under that much water pressure, it'll certainly hold up on a set of center caps.

    Later,

Get the stuff made for plastic/urathen materials. It is a 2 part epoxy. My mirror was knocked off and I Epoxied it back together with that stuff and it came in a white cream color. Matches good with my pearl, can hardly see it!

    Thats your best bet!
