Well if it's for a Jetta/GTI 1.8t I think the intake will just fit a FWD A4 not a Quattro....

There's no such thing as a CAI for an A4. All the off-the-shelf packages are actually HAI (hot air intakes).

I don't care how much heat shielding you use, you're still drawing air from under the hood, which is warmer. Don't waste your money. They look cool, and sometimes sound cool, but they'll always rob perfromance.

I'm speaking from experience, I ran one. It sounds great, but I lost power. It's not worth running an open setup under the hood. Too much heat from the turbo and cat right next to the intake. You want to keep it boxed up and only pulling fresh air.

Besides, if you still want one, you can make one for about 1/3rd of the price by going to Home Depot.
